Mural Monday: I Left My Heart...in a small side street in the SOMA

SOMA....a neighborhood known for its bars, lounges/clubs, and its restaurants.  However, it might not be known as a neighborhood of murals (like the Mission).  Well, SOMA has murals at every turn.  This weekend, I took my camera to SOMA and parked across from 850 Bryant, luckily by choice and not because I had to visit the building.

I walked about 2 blocks to 7th and Harrison and I encountered 6 murals in a block's space.  One mural I came across lives on Langton St. at Harrison St.

There's not much information on this mural that I could find online, but here's what I did find.  The title of this beautiful masterpiece is "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" and it was created by Sonata.  This stunning piece doesn't give you a choice but to look, as it catches your eye immediately.  The fact that murals like this are one small side streets that many people don't drive or walk down gives these murals almost a 'hidden treasure' like appeal.  I can only hope that this post encourages you to see this hidden treasure in person.  If you can't, check out a couple more photo's below.
