Teaser Tuesday: The Weeping Woman

This poor woman. It’s such a beautiful day with the vibrant blue sky in the background, what could she be so sad about? Her hands holding her head as she weeps…Does anyone know where this weeping woman resides in San Francisco?

The Palace of Fine Arts is famous for its dome shape. However, if you look closer, you will find numerous sculptures of people throughout the structure. Surrounding the much photographed dome is the colonnade. Atop the colonnade, are the ‘weeping women,’ pictured in today’s teaser. This San Francisco treasure has SO MANY photo worthy aspects, which guarantees it’s many details will make appearances on IAMMYCITYSF in future posts.
